When considering applying for sales positions it can be highly advantageous to outline key achievements / successes within previous positions, particularly if you are applying for more senior positions.

It is understandable that some information may be confidential, however if something is outlined you are not only showing a business you are capable of delivering, but also proud of what you have accomplished.

Although the number candidate applications have considerably decreased over the past 12 months, we have noticed that candidates are still open to having conversations and looking into new potential roles.

Several factors have been the reason for this including; candidates not long being in new roles following redundancies / other reasons surrounding the pandemic, recruiters / employers having extended ability to approach candidates with opportunities through Social Media / networking platforms and the uncertainty of the current economy with recession looming.

In a number of recent cases it has been suggested that interview processes move slightly quicker than traditionally required / preferred to ensure that if there is interest in a particular candidate, as the demand for high quality sales professionals is high, it is likely a candidate may have a number of offers presented to them if things don’t move quick enough.

A specialist recruiter has your needs at the focus of everything they do and as an employer. There are several rewarding factors you can benefit from when considering assistance from a specialist recruiter such as:

  • Quality candidates – A specialist recruiter will thoroughly screen / interview candidates in alignment with your brief to ensure only qualified candidates are sent through for consideration

All we need is a copy of your CV along with some detail disclosing your current salary expectations, notice period and information on the ideal roles / industries you would like to consider. For every role that you apply and interview for, we would suggest that you research the company in question to understand what they do, whilst referring back to the job description. Consider what skills you have, how they tailor to the role and what you can bring to the business.

Additional preparation may always go a long way, whether this be reviewing products in store, preparing a presentation that showcases your skills, completing analysis and presenting findings etc. However you need to assess the parameters of the interview, take into consideration how long the interview is and how much you can fit in without missing key aspects.
